Convenience Is a Luxury

The Chase Sapphire Reserve® was revamped over the summer, prompting an annual fee bump to $795 and a catalogue of benefits, including a DashPass membership with DoorDash, that can make the expensive card more worthwhile for foodies.

Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders now receive at least 12 months of complimentary DashPass for use on DoorDash and Caviar, which must be activated by December 31, 2027. Authorized users on the account have access to the same perk, with their membership expiring on the date the first user activates the membership.

Once enrolled, members must keep in mind that their Chase Sapphire Reserve® card must be used as the default payment method to receive DashPass benefits. The annual cost of a DashPass membership is $96.

The Reserve card also entitles cardholders to credits toward meals and groceries with monthly DoorDash promotions (a $5 restaurant promo and two $10 promos on everyday essentials, up to $300 per year; offer must be activated by December 31, 2027).

DashPass members receive unlimited $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on eligible orders from thousands of participating restaurants, grocery and convenience stores offered on the platform.

Members also earn 5% back in DoorDash credit on all pick-up orders to put toward future orders.

To qualify, first-year students must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5, second-year students must have a minimum college GPA of 3.0, juniors must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 and seniors must have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
